The older I get the more and more I begin to despise the Batman character and the nonsense surrounding him.

There is an argument that Batman is the real Batman, Bruce Wayne might be the name he was born with, but for Batman, it is just a convenient mask to wear sometimes. Clark Kent is who Superman really is, Bruce Wayne is not who Batman is.

I am convinced that DC is nothing more than a constant 2-3 year origin story...then reboot and tell the origin story a different way. Much like Spider-man movies.

As you should.
I forgot all about it but our daycare has the entire series on dvd and they let us borrow them. My son has seen the whole series a number of times.

Opposite. Superman was born Superman and is always Superman. Clark Kent is his costume so that people wont realize he isnt “one of us.” Bruce Wayne is Batman only as a highly controversial and obviously detrimental way of coping with severe PTSD. Batman is as messed up as his Arkham Asylum villians and in fact all of his villians are reflections of himself which keep him awake all night as he fights his own demons.
It’s actually extremely heartbreaking that Bruce has completely convinced himself that his identity is in the things he fears to the point that even the Lasso of Truth cant reveal to him the person that his parents and guardian knew him to be.

Also the best Batman intro, period. I don’t care what anyone says about the original Batman tv series theme song.

DC movies need to progress the timeline a bit, see example: The Avengers.

Troubled, insanely wealthy man becomes vigilante, develops weapons and becomes one-man private security force.
This is gonna happen in our lifetimes.

Except that the only kind of person who can generate that type of wealth would be a baby boomer. And American baby boomers abuse their bodies just as badly as they abuse the youth and brown people of america. Odds will be that a real life batperson could be easily dispatched with time and a humid climate.
